Collecting data and distributing over Wi-Fi leads to many new possibilities. The Pilot-CAN is available augmented with a small Wi-Fi module that connects to its internal serial port. In the configuration editor, you only need to add a Wi-Fi config item and then provide a (local or remote) server name and TCP/IP socket (for example, 80 would be for normal HTML web servers) for the Wi-Fi to connect to. The default configuration for the Wi-Fi is to output ASCII data in the JSON format - there is more detail about this on the ASCII Serial page.
